Welcome to my first blog! The intention with this blog is to have it be a space where I am able to share with you what life is like as a content creator and most importantly, for you to get to know me more. So, without further ado let's dive into today's topic.
Newlywed
“No one can prepare you for the first few months of marriage. It is easily the most challenging and most amazing time of your life.”
August 29, 2021 will forever be engrained in my memory. Oh how insanely hot it was that evening. We had an outdoor wedding at a nearby park that my husband Andrew and I had gone to before we were engaged. Countless times we'd either walk to or run to this park and talk about our future like every young couple in love does. Therefore, it made sense to have it be the place we got married. It was a beautiful (hot) wedding surrounded by our loved ones. For our honeymoon we spent a week in Cancun, Mexico and of course went to Chichen Itza, a cenote and went snorkeling. It was absolutely beautiful there, but we also were super excited to start our lives as a married couple in our new apartment. The next few months were full of adjusting. No one can prepare you for the first few months of marriage. It is easily the most challenging and most amazing time of your life. Those first couple months are full of trying to figure out each other. Even though you think you know your boyfriend/girlfriend you do NOT know them till you get married and live with them.
Fast forward almost 6 months from our wedding, I can confidently say we are more in love than we have ever been before. Getting married rocks and I HIGHLY recommend it. It's like having a sleepover with your best friend every night. Peep our 1-minute wedding video teaser there to the left (oh is it a goodie).
Apartment Moving
Currently we reside in Noblesville, IN. Why did we choose Noblesville as our place to have our first apartment? Literally the only reason: there were no available apartments in Fishers. We thought for sure that we would enjoy where we live because who doesn't love modern, renovated interior? Welp, guess it doesn't do much when there's just cornfields surrounding you. All jokes aside, Noblesville is a great place if you're wanting to get away from city life. My husband and I both grew up in Fishers, IN and I, only minutes away from the busy downtown Nickel-plate district. So, guess where we're moving...yup, good ole Fishers, IN. We are super excited to be living walking distance from Nickel plate trails. And not to mention we can see one of the best Fishers Parks in our backyard. March can't get here any faster. We lasted 6 months in Noblesville and desperately tried to find a way out but didn't know if it would work. God answered our prayers though and we have tenants taking over our lease and a new apartment (WITH A FIREPLACE) ready for us end of March! We are extremely blessed and looking forward to making memories at our new apartment.
Lemonade Media
“My prayer for this year is that I am able to provide for my family and see growth not only in my business but in my heart and mind through everyday life.”
I started what is now called Lemonade Media back in January 2021. I had just quit a Marketing job due to the fact that I absolutely hated it. As everyone on the planet knows, COVID really made it difficult to find a place to work as most businesses were getting rid of employees rather than adding any on. With my newly received degree in one hand and my dreams and aspirations in the other I charged on and thus created a content creation business. Starting a business requires patience, patience oh and more patience. It is one of the slowest processes I've ever witnessed. But with patience I've grown immensely. I've found what I love to do and what I absolutely hate doing. With the new year starting only a month ago, I have become insanely motivated to make this year the year I become a full-time content creator. Life as a freelancer means you do jobs in the meantime that by no means do you actually like. I've been a hostess, waitress, barista and nanny while trying to get my business up and running. And you best believe I pray every day that this be the year that I finally can get this thing to be full time. This business isn't just a way to provide for my family by any means. This business has been a way to let my creative juices flow and allow me to work on things I'm passionate about: design. I recently created a cookbook for a family, and it sparked a huge interest for me with graphic design. I am extremely excited to start marketing it so I can bring more joy to people's family through cooking. My prayer for this year is that I am able to provide for my family and see growth not only in my business but in my heart and mind through everyday life. So, cheers to 2022 and the first blog of many being published! #contentcreator
